I got the book last nightand skimed throuh it.

I have been doing one thing right even though it has been the lazy way. For a long while my breakfast has been a Starbucks loaf Cranberry, pumpkin or zuchinni.

I only drink decaf soy lattes when I am doing very well.
I am trying their green tea until I go to the health food store to get small amounts of tummy teas to try.

Looks like I can start making loaves at home now. Do they freeze well?

I have some more problems including:

I am very sensitive to MSG and any other sources of glutamate in my diet--the word natural seasonings is a huge NO.
What to substitute for soy sauce in recipes?
I also seem to have to avoid many preservatives.
I have to avoid all deli meats liike smoked turkey etc., no ham or Sausage but I can eat lean pork cooked properly.
I must avoid canned tuna.
And possibly no red dye. (Red jello left me ready for a scope. So was it red dye and beef protein from the gelatin?)

My IBS is complicated by damage from using NSAIDS and what is called PCS (Post Cholestectomy Syndrome)which began when my gall bladder was removed.

My first real attempt to deal with my GI problems was to go to a dietition found by my primary care doc. I learned many triggers but was primarily using avoidance and did not take the initative to start cooking again.

So I will be going through the board looking at recipes.
Thanks for allowing me to join.
