Thanks for your reply. I recall reading your letter in the book and it did give me some hope that Lotronex was worth a try, realizing that it may not be right for everyone. I think one of the key messages I've taken from this site is to keep trying things in different combinations, until you find the approach that's right for you.

Do you remember how long it took to have a positive impact for you? I've been taking a very small amount (half of a .5 mg pill) once a day and have noticed some positive impact, but also some gas/bloating and occasional pains. I'm wondering whether it takes several weeks for symptoms to subside and positive impact to settle in. Please let me know what your experience was. If some of these side effects don't subside soon, I might stop taking it, but don't want to be too hasty.
