Heather, Thank you so much for your site! I have not been officially diagnosed with IBS, but and ER doctor said I have a spastic colon, which is the same thing. I will have more testing done to make sure there is nothing else wrong. However, in the mean time, two days ago I was on the verge of going crazy! Everytime I ate I was in the bathroom for at least 30 minutes to an hour with horrible diarrhea and abdominal pain. Having gone to the ER last time I knew there was nothing they could do. My husband made me do research online and wa-la, there was your site, and "What to eat when you can't eat anything." Oh my gosh, somebody else knew what I was going through. So, he went to the store and bought me almost all the foods on the safe list and I have been pain free for 3 days now! Thank You!!! I will be purchasing many of your books and the acacia fiber. I have already started with the chammomile tea (can't do peppermint, due to GERD). But, geez, what a difference. I agree with many of the people here, who cares if I never eat a big bowl of ice cream again, as long as I can eat and not spend the rest of the day in the bathroom. I even went to the movies yesterday with my pretzels, and hubby who does not suffer from IBS (to date) ate popcorn. Guess who was in the bathroom? I feel so good and I feel such relief. Again, thank you!
Sincerely, Sheila D
