In October 2004 a new GI doctor started me on the generic equivalent of Questran. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! This stuff started working immediately. I would not be without it. I still have several other digestive problems, but diarrhe is not generally one of them. Heather recommends it in one of her books. It has been around FOREVER as a cholesteral lowering drug. I think it is actually very safe -- there are some concerns with vitamin absorbtion -- so take your vitamins when you don't take the drug -- and your cholesteral level will be very low to boot. My doctor checks my blood for vitamins every 6 months or so and so far there hasn't been a problem.
