Questions - Confused

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering about a few things and I was hoping someone would be able to shed some light on the situation. I am IBS-D (most of the time) and have been following the SF diet. I know IBS is affected by more than just diet but I am able to control my stress, and exercise. If I eat properly, or even eat the same meals every day for a while, I may feel ok one day and then horrible all of the other days. This seems to be a trend for me...I'm so confused! Is this typical or is it just me??

It's recommended you drink 64+ oz. of water a day, especially if taking a SF supplement. However it seems as though if I drink more water, it just worsens my D. I've given it weeks and still no change, does it just take more time or has anyone else noticed this too? I'm currently taking Acadia powder, has anyone had better luck with a different product? I bought Psyllium powder (before I found this site) and seemed to have some luck with this but had to stop because of painful bloating.

And last but not least, like most people I feel the worst in the mornings. This is not saying I feel bad when I wake up (I usually feel pretty good), but that changes after my first BM of the day. It feels like a switch "clicks on" inside me and it's all down hill from there. This feeling also happens most of the time after eating any meal. I'm not currently on any anti-spasm meds as I keep reading that following a SF diet has better results than the meds. Is this true, or I'm guessing it's different for everyone?

Thanks for reading this far, I know I've been too wordy.

Here's hoping for better days ahead
