Hey Chuple,
Sounds like you have a good start on the tests, but really, to be completely sure there's not an underlying problem/disease that has similar symptoms, you should go through all of the tests.
List of tests is somewhere on this site & also in the IBS: First Year book. But...in short, I've had a) blood tests - including that for ovarian cancer, celiac disease, b) upper endoscopy (which also looks at the top part of the intestines, c) colonoscopy, d) small bowel followthrough, e) stool sample test (for parasite), f) abdominal/pelvic CT scan, g) abdominal ultrasound. So...you have more tests to go if you're really looking to have a solid diagnosis. It would be terrible if someone cureable was overlooked, ya know? Or something more serious...
The tests are not always "pleasant", but I take great comfort in knowing nothing else is wrong with me! Your symptoms are so common among different diseases.
Hang in there. Testing's a pain, but worth it in the end. Then you can move forward with the IBS diet, etc. with confidence that you're going to make headway on the IBS. =)
