I believe there are a variety of certifying bodies in the US and in China. I don't know all of them. My doctor is not an MD but trained in China as an herbologist and acupuncturist. I have some background in Chinese Medicine so I was able to communicate well with him and feel comfortable with his diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Having an MD who is also certified in Chinese Medicine would be ideal, but difficult to find. Is there a medical school/university near you? Often, they are able to provide referrals or recommendations. And if nothing else, spend a few bucks and get a consultation. If you are not comfortable, don't go back. I am now 6 days without the herbs and still am doing great. I think I actually might have spent a few minutes today NOT thinking about my IBS. WOW! Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
