Possible Delayed Gastric Emptying (DGE) or Hiatal Hernia ???

So, I find that if I eat ALL the time, my IBS symptoms are at their lowest; but then I feel full MOST of the time, even OVERfull and like I want to throw up. Heaven forbid I become thirsty for my 400th glass of water because having to force down another swallow of ANYTHING might cause me to burst. But! if I try to allow my tummy to calm down and get rid of the food, then my abdomen begins to ache, then cramp and now I'm back to unstable. I've been on the Prilosec now (1x/day) for 6 days and it doesn't seem to be helping my GERD any more than the Zantac 3x/day did (was on the Z for most of a year). And the Docusate (softener) that the Doc reccomended worked nicely until Sunday night and now I've been living in the bathroom with D and sweats and cramps. Gosh, I had ALMOST forgotten how fun those days used to be. Not! I don't think a softener is what I need. I'm thinking maybe I need to call the Doc and tell him this isn't working and I need him to check me out for DGE or even Hiatal Hernia? Or should I wait it out a little more? It HAS only been 6 days. But, I'm worse than before!!

Any advice out there?
