Sorry to hear about your child, We are up against the same kind of thing, but no diagnosis yet. My 13 yr. old son has been out of school for about 5 weeks now, with no end in sight. No diagnosis so far, outside of lactose intolerance, but the doc says just take lactaid and go ahead with dairy, I'm a bit wary of that idea, so he's off dairy completely for now. All the tests show just a bunch of stuff that he doesn't have. Luckily, we have a renouned Children's hospital near, but they are getting nowhere. He is on Bentyl(anti-spasmodic) which has not helped, now we are trying Tramadol. He also hates the peppermint tea. I'm thinking of trying the enteric coated peppermint capsules, but we're getting very frustrated with our highly qualified pediatric gastroenterologist. Any ideas welcome.
