Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

The birthday dinner eating out was a success! We went to a buffet. I took the steps prior that I needed to. I only ate the suggestions from the site for eating at the buffet. It was good. And they gave me some hot water so I could have my peppermint tea with the meal. We got to sit and talk for a few hours. I was so upset before we left though that I walked out of the house without my mom's birthday present. But she didn't mind because we paid for the dinner.

What a relief. Everyone was right. I just have to breath and accept that it will be ok not matter what happens. I think I will actually be ok on our vacation to Florida as well. As long as I can make the 18 hour car trip down there.

So now I am at home just chillin' and watching some of my favorite shows. My boyfriend was helping me not worry about things so much and it has really helped as well. He made it thru dinner with my folks and now he's out hanging out with his friends while I relax. It's a win, win!
