I'm sorry I haven't been back here til now. Things are busy when you have kids! I'm predominantly IBS-D, but can go the other way on occasion. Yeah, I've been amazed myself at the foods I've been able to toleate in small amounts. I think dropping the dairy completely has been tremendous for me. (I had stopped eating red meat and soda years ago before I found the diet) I have been using Benefiber which I found to be FANTASTIC (so THAT'S what it's like to go normally! Not to be too graphic ), but I just received Heather's Tummy Fiber and plan to start that. I don't EXACTLY remember what threw me off that one time, though I do remember that I eat a bowl of oatmeal with sliced banana every morning which stabilizes me from the get-go, and that morning I didn't. I'm sure I ate something like chocolate (solid) which I AM able to tolerate (not sure if I'm truly happy about that, as my waistline would likely shrink faster if I didn't!), and I probably had too much of it. Since I was feeling so good, I dumbly took the "I'm cured" (even though I know there's no cure, just management) approach, and got lax. Now I'm more vigilant, though I often find myself doing little science experiments on myself to see if I really can't tolerate just a little of this food or that food. I know it's dumb, and I'll pay dearly for it, so I'm praying for the restraint not to be too curious. May God bless you every day in every way.
