The IBS-safe stuff for relieving C normally might help (ie. diet, SFS, IF, water, exercise, Miralax, Zelnorm) and you should give all this a good try. But you MAY end up needing to take stimulant laxatives (which are usually NOT recommended for IBS) if the narcotics are unadvoidable b/c of the particular effect of the narcotics. But this should be talked through properly with your GI doc so they can try and find you the gentlest one for you and also to monitor your IBS carefully. NOTE...do NOT start taking HFS or OTC stimulant laxatives without doctor's direction! Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
