Michele, It is a conspiracy between our doctors that our emails will never reach one another!!!!! To answer all of everyones questions my doctor is young and to say diet has nothing to do with this but eat a high fiber diet is a contradiction. Hope I spelled that right, sure wish I had spell check on this, lol.He is going to try and find a gastro that will give me Lotronex though. I will say he does care and is trying but his diet advice is never going to change. He put me back on Pamelor or also called Nortripylin because he thinks he had me start at to high of a dose so this time I am starting low and going up every two weeks. He also said I gave up to fast on it. I took it for three days and at night the pain was so bad so I told him it was easy for him to say hang in there when he is not the one suffering. I am also on Librax which I am to go off once my other drug kicks in, he says in about six weeks. I take Benefiber as of last night, used to be on Citrucel but it killed my stomach and the Benefiber I love, put in food or drinks. It did give me gas but I know that is normal on a new SFS.I do research and Lotronex if you can get it is a godsend for some and I do have a site where lots of folks use it. Also a company here in Atlanta tried to get Cilansetron approved after its trails but FDA denined it and they gave up. In Japan Ramosetron is close to being approved there so who knows. These are all 5-HT3 antagonist. I have not found anyone on this site who takes Lotronex but if I do get it I will post right away. Thanks to you all. Lisa
