Saw my gastro and he told me to go off my SFS and just eat FIBER. He told me to eat 2 bowls of high fiber cereal daily and put me on the same meds I had trouble with, nortriplyn. He says diet has nothing to do with this disorder and I told him all the gastro doctors say that yet all the people with this have proven otherwise. He once again said eat whatever you want, whenever. I tried to discuss SF and IF and that if I eat an IF alone or on a empty stomach I will pay for it and he does not buy it. Mention Heathers book to any gastro and they roll there eyes. I plan to stay on the diet and just changed my SFS. I agree I need fiber but the right type and the right way. Is it wrong to wish your gastro doctor would suffer from this, not forever, lets say a month and I bet the conversation would go in a whole new direction!
