Anyone applied for SS Disability?       11/05/05 10:16 AM Edit Reply Quote ChristineO Reged: 09/09/05 Posts: 25 Yesterday I applied for Social Security Disability, though I doubt that I will get it. Wondering if anyone has experience with this? I've had IBS for many years, but in the past 3 years it has gotten way out of control. Two colonoscopies show no cancer, some diverticulosis, but just plain IBS. I told the GI doctor that I not only haven't made it to work for months, but can barely get to a store or an appointment. All this is so hard financially, too. He didn't seem to act like it was a big deal to him and just told me to take Benefiber and eat fiber. How long can we go on like this? I'm practically living on French bread and potatoes. It's been hard to incorporate any veggies, though I keep trying. Let me know what you think about the Social Security.
