I have to be there at 6 AM since the test is at 7:30. They tell me I should be out of there by about 9:30. I was talking to a friend of mine tonight who's a nurse anesthetist and she administers for a lot of colonoscopy/endoscopy patients. She says the colonoscopy actually only takes about 10 minutes and the endoscopy doesn't take that long either. Majority of the time is supposedly actually spent in admissions (taking your blood pressure, heartbeat, administering the IV, etc.), and then in recovery to wake up. I won't be completely knocked out --it's more of a sedation, but my friend says I won't really know or care what's going on, and I'll most likely end up just passing out and waking up thinking, "that was it?". They don't typically like to knock you out b/c the procedure isn't that long and that way you don't take too long to wake up, and will be less groggy. I think it'll be fine.
Anyway, I'm just trying to stay awake until midnight when I have to take the Fleet again. I might mix it with ginger ale this time.
Glad I could help answer your questions about Pamine. That 5 MG Forte is what my mom takes and it works well for her.
Funny you say that your GERD came on due to peppermint tea. That's exactly what kicked mine off. When I was initially diagonsed with IBS (without any other diagnostic tests being done), I followed Heather's diet to the T, including lots of peppermint tea. I wish should would have written in her book that it can cause GERD, not just aggravate it.
I will definitely email you afterwards to let you know how it went!
