That's a tuff one. I wouldn't worry about people thinking that you are rude. First of all, plenty of people without IBS prefer the isle seat. If it's your friends you can explain it to them. If they are strangers don't even worry about what they think. Chances are when they see you getting up two or three times during the film they will be grateful you are in the isle seat. More likely they won't even notice.
Fear can be apwerful enemy. I found that th elonger I've been on this diet, the more stabel I am and the less fear I have to venture out.
This year I started a job that I don't think I would have had the guts to take on last year.
