As you know on Heathers diet sugar is not a problem for us however I think moderation is the key. If I overeat anything it causes me problems no matter what it is. So if you that you are gonna be tempted to eat the whole bag of choc chips would it not be better for your health to try and not buy them at all?
I know each of us are different but I find chocolate a particular problem (gutted ), especially if I have a little binge!!For the pain and D I have afterwards its just not worth me bothering. I do have a little now and again but never again will I sit and work my way through a bag of Hersheys (youch).
As for not being able to have a desert there are lots of options available made with alternatives such as soy etc on the market or have you tried visited the recipe exchange?
But I think the main point is moderation. Eating choc sauce made with butter 3x a day is asking for trouble even if you aint IBS!!!!
Have you visited your doctor to discuss your problems?
