prozac       04/18/05 08:03 PM Edit Reply Quote musicprof Reged: 03/20/05 Posts: 28 I wonder if anyone with pain and constipation-dominant IBS has had any success at all with SSRIs. I'm thinking here of the ones more likely to cause diarrhea - such as Prozac. Has anyone had a reduction in pain or constipation with any anti-depressant? One reason that I ask this has to do with a former student of mine who had IBS-D. Her symptoms completely cleared up when on Zoloft. Since Zoloft can have a calming effect on the body, this makes sense to me. So, I wonder if Prozac - which can have a stimulating effect - has been helpful to anyone with IBS-C. Thanks!
