It can be so severe that some can see the bulge into the opening of vagina. I had surgery a year ago for other prolapses, but this one emerged later. Do have IBS, so bowel movements became a problem. Went to my urogynecologist for yearly check-up and cystoscopy for bladder and he found the rectocele after listening to my complaints. This is the second one I have had in six years, so I knew what it was when starting to feel the pressure before a bowel movement and on the flare days of having to go 3 or more times a day. And I have had IBS for over 15 years. That was confirmed after seeing a gastroenterologist and having a colonoscopy. Not to take away from the IBS subject of this site, I just wanted to let people to know about this and check it out if they are having this pressure problem. Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
