My daughter's doctor at Mayo confirmed that 76% of IBS patients responded favorably to the drug in the initial trial. I don't know when it will be approved, but the Phase 3 trials have been going on since sometime last year. Perhaps it will be fast-tracked by the FDA since there are no good medications for IBS treatment presently on the market.
