I don't know what Anorectal Manometry is. I'm not sure if I've had Balloon Expulsion either. I think they might have tried it, but I was sore sore from diarrhea, that they didn't fully complete the test. I have had a Rectal Defagram where you sit on a "toilet" and they have you do exercises that expelling, pushing, and squeezing. I just came back from Dallas last night from seeing my gastroenterologist. He is having me continue on my muscle relaxer, Robaxin. He also told me to take sitz baths twice a day. He says that this helps your muscles relax. He also is giving me a cortisone suppository to take twice a day. He says that this is to help my sensation of feeling like I have to go to the bathroom several hours after having a bowel movement. He did a endoscopy a couple of days ago and said that I have some tissue that is getting "stuck" after I have a bowel movement and is leaving me feeling like I have to go to the bathroom. He said that this tissue is swollen and that the suppositories should help. He is also starting me on a new medication that he says if for pain that also controls your serotonin levels and endorphins. He said it could make me a little constipated. Since I tend to be on the constipated side, I hate to take this medication. I use prune juice now to help with my constipation.
This medication is called Cymbalta. Have you ever heard of it? Thanks for your time. Iceprincess
