Hi, sounds like you're doing soooo many things right - hang in there, it WILL get better. I'm relatively new at this too, and still working on stabilizing...

Can't help with the rice yogurt or gluten free pretzels, but I highly recommend the acacia fiber sold on this site. Also, fennel tea has been a livesaver.

I'm IBS-A, and still trying to figure out my triggers for both C and D, but I think insoluble fiber gives me a lot of C problems, bloating and gas. I used to be a vegetarian, too (for 30 years!) so not eating veggies ALL the time has been hard. But I really can't. Now, I always have soluble fiber first, like acacia and potatoes, rice or french or sourdough bread, and if I eat veggies, I cook them well and chew them forever!

I think it's good that you're cutting down on the mints and substituting altoids - I've found that even a little artificial sweetener really triggers the C, bloating and gas.

I've also come to understand that people differ in how long they take to stabilize, so don't give up! You clearly have a lot of determination and discipline, so you've got a good start on it!

-Sue
