Anyone have this problem??

I'm eating very carefully as to what might seem to go down my digestive tract smoothly. Eating gentle SF foods, fruits, veggies, lots of SFS as well. I'm eating foods that I found (still learning) that might be safe for me. The SFS help my system to keep moving. I'm going to get personal, hope you peeps don't mind, . My stool is not hard, not runny, but soft and thin (not pencil thin). Seems like a healthy, smooth stool, right? But I still have hard time pushing it out and I have to strain. I also feel like I lack the urges a lot of the time. Is there anything I can help for that? Anyone know what the problem is?? I also take magnesium too and I feel like I'm doing a lot of things to help the C. Anyone have tips, knowlege, advice?? Could it be the lining of the intestines?? How do you help that? Does coffee have that effect?? I can't imagine giving up coffee because that's the only thing so far that helps me go!
