Thank you, thank you, thank you, Heather! I just had my first attack since reading your book and I had the tools necessary to deal with the pain and diarrhea. I instantly switched to an all peppermint tea, white bread, and white rice diet for a couple of days. I took peppermint Altoids every few hours like pills. I focused on relaxation. I used a Therma-Care heat pad on my stomach, attached inside my clothing, since I had many places I HAD to go. I knew how to use the Levsin correctly. As a result I was able to "manage" the attack and complete all the things I had to do that day and got through it 100% better than the old days.

I had eaten a bunch of trigger foods the night before all in one meal, and wondered if they would "get" me, and they did. I now know for sure exactly what I did wrong that made the attack happen--something I would have been clueless about before I read your book. Thank you for writing these wonderful books! I have told so many people about them in the last few weeks, who are also planning to order and begin to apply the IBS diet. The doctors don't tell you the difference between soluble and insoluble fiber, or how to manage an attack. They just tell you to eat more fiber--usually the wrong kind. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
