The problem(if it is the same medication I am thinking about)is that it has atropine which is what help the colon to relax but it produces blurry vision,dry mouth in some people increase heart rate.Then it has phenobarbital which is sedating(the dose in donnatal is low) but is habit forming. For use just when you have the pain I consider it to be quite helpful but,I dont know about everyday use. Hope I was helpfull in some way. Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
