Hi!

I've only been on the BRAT for 2 days. So far I don't see any difference, I'm still all crampy and bloated. I actually called in sick to work on Wednesday, I felt so lousy. It's very discouraging when you only work 2 days a week to not even be able to make THAT! I've gotten to the point in the last few months where I don't even eat on the days I have to work, just so I don't get triggered. It's ridiculous.

I'm IBS-A, so I alternate. Generally, the pattern I follow is that I'm C for several (or more) days...then I get the severe cramps, bloating, shaking etc. and I have about a 5 or 6 hour (or longer) bout of progressively more loose BMs until it finally ends with completely liquid D. It usually takes me a day or two to recover from that, as it's quite violent once it starts.

I'm going to get a grip on eating the right foods because I can't live like this any longer. It rules my life, saps all my energy, and takes everything I have just to do what I must. I ordered Heather's book today, along with the peppermint caps and tea. I'm praying they will soothe my poor gut..it's really sore

Thanks for your kind words...it's so nice to hear that someone understands, doesn't think I'm crazy or that it's all in my head, and can sympathize

Hugs,
Leslie
