Are you working right now? If you are inbetween jobs, I might consider going on a short water fast under medical supervision. Sometimes, the bowel just needs to have a rest. And I'm sensing that some of the depression might just be due to exhaustion. My Optometrist was hospitalized for a week and put on an IV to give his tummy a badly needed rest. Also I would think a complete blood work up would be necessary to rule out parasites, candida, etc. Ironically depression, which is commone to our condition becomes a perpetuator of our illness. It's hard to tell if depression makes our symptoms worse...or because of our condition, we become depressed. But we are all working on a wholistic approach to getting well. I watch what I eat. I'm attempting to begin a yoga regimine. I'm going to be taking a meditation class on Monday nights soon. And I'm working on my head. I take walks during lunch to work through my issues. I, too, have many food allergies and food sensitivities. And in addition to the IBS, I have a fibroid in my uterus that's pressing against my bladder and my colon. And I've had miscarriages and a fetal demise and adoption tries that fell through. And I'm too old now to try to have children anymore...so I know where you are. And when you are an Empath like I am...the suffering is far worse than if I didn't have the gift because I see, hear and know too much if you know what I mean. But what I can tell you is that it's very, very important for you to begin to find little ways to nurture yourself. You have to send love to your tummy...and love to the areas of your body where the inflamation is. You have to work on letting go of those things and circumstances in your life that just aren't the way you'd like them to be. This time right now...is the time when we are all being asked to "let go" and Let God" each according to the way that is comfortable for us. People with our condition don't find it easy to "go with the flow". And what I'm getting from my prayer sessions is that I need to know that "I am worthy." So I'm giving to you what I'm getting for myself. Know that you are worthy of every sweet happiness that life has to offer. Know that you are worthy of being healthy and experiencing joy in this life. Try to take walks and take note of the squirrels and the rabbits and the birds. Watch the birds swimming on a man-made lake. Read a favorite magazine or book and listen to the most soothing music you can. Take a hot whirlpool bath. Whatever you can do to wrap yourself in the arms of sweetness and loving energy...do this for yourself. Please. Promise me you'll do this and just see what happens.

Hugs,

Sheryl
