You should not take it on a regular basis because you will continue to need more of it to help you. I was taking 1-2 pills a day and graduated to 5-6 pretty quickly-- within 2 weeks I think it was. I don't take it anymore because I don't need it... but I would be wary of that. It's okay to take it occasionally when you get up... if you take it the night before I'm not sure it would quell an attack in the a.m. I tried it a few times and I ended up having to take more in the morning.
