Okay anti-d users, I have a question

I am taking a-d's and this is my problem. Lately I feel torn between continuing or ending them.
Pro
I can finally get out of the house with less anxiety
my IBS doesn't flare as often

Con
I still struggle with anxiety
when my ibs does hit sometimes I just get the bad cramping and other times full D. And I would rather have the D and get it over with.
not knowing long term effects

And lately I just feel like I should be able to control this problem myself with out meds. And to make matters worse I keep coming across articles and news stories about the possible side effects, basically what I see paints the drugs in a bad light. But on the other hand, I can get out of the house...
I am in counseling now and I do have an appointment with a psychiatrist to discuss my med combo. Right now I am on nortriptylene from Gastro and Prozac from GP and yes my GP knows about the nortriptylene.
