Since I tried taking the imodium to avoid bouts of D I am doing much better. Now maybe once a week I get a single bout of loose but crampy movement. I then take 2 imodium and then go back to taking either 1 every morning or 1/2 a pill in the morning. I still take the Librax with each meal. Plus now I have noticed most bouts come after I eat dairy, egg yolks (egg whites are ok) or I get upset or aggravated over something. I eat cooked vegetables but on a day that my stomach is upset I find eating baby food vegetables agree with me better. Other than applesauce I cannot eat fresh uncooked fruits. I eat a lot of white meat chicken or broiled fish. Lunch is usually tuna or a lean ham sandwich. I am so glad I found this site. Now I don't feel like it is only me with the IBS and no doctor every told me about taking the imodium to avoid a bout of D. On occasion if I get bloated and gasey I take 2 DiGel which helps that. But now I'm not afraid to go out after eating a meal before taking the imodium only when I got the D I planned my day based on where there were bathrooms. So glad I found this site. Bye.
