...I have so many allergies/sensitivities that I won't even name here everything I'm allergic to. BUT almost everything I'm allergic to causes a rash of some type. When I get a rash I know it's time to take a step back and evaluate anything new or different in my meds, diet, personal care routine, etc. Having been through this type of thing so many times myself, I would suggest eliminating anything that you recently started taking (if this is a safe thing to do) and see if it goes away. Then you can try to pinpoint what it might have been.
On a personal note, I am allergic to acacia. I just started taking it last week and by this past weekend I started to have a rash Here's the thread of the post I put up about it allergic Well, I don't think that will get posted as a thread - I guess I don't know how to do that!
Anyway, in the meantime, try putting some hydrocortisone cream on the itchy, rashy patches (I like Aveeno Hydrocortisone Anti-Itch Cream) and be really gentle with your skin. Maybe use a mild non-soap cleanser - I use Cetaphil and Aveeno Dry Skin Cleansing Bar. You could also take Benadryl at night to help you sleep and tame the itching (Benadryl works really well for me but it knocks me out! Also, since I usually take Allegra everyday, I have to skip that if I'm going to take Benadryl...) UGH! So much to think about
Of course check with your doctor before following any of these suggestions - I wouldn't want to suggest something and have it make your problem worse. But these are some things that have worked for me (as recently as this week!!).
Good luck and feel better soon
