hi- I've been scanning through the forums and can't seem to find an answer to my issue, so I figured I'd just post (first time!).
I've had IBS-D for ~8 years, in the last 6 months it's been fairly out of control. I drive my mom (82) and the control issue is a concern (are we near a bathroom?) I've been on a severely restricted low residue diet (white bread, saltines, pasta, rice, potatoes) for about a month and even that makes me gassy and nauseous. My GI dr did another round of tests for bacteria (negative) and wanted to put me on Questran- I'm super reactive to meds and feared for severe constipation...but that still isn't answering the nausea question. the doc prefers I not take as many Imodium as I was taking (2 every other day).
Wondering if anyone has any ideas? I miss food! I'm taking the peppermint caps (having reflux at night- when I take my Prilosec, go figure) and using the peppermint and fennel tea. Nothing tastes the same, from the teas to pretzels. I'm lost.
Any ideas are appreciated.

Do you eat like said on this forum? No diary for example? It's easier to react if we know if you eat the EFI way. I have had much help by de hypnotic cd's for the stressrelated part of the D. Ibs.

Hi- I have been following the eating plan on the website and using the Tummy fiber and teas for about 5 years. Haven't had *anything* in the RED for about a year now. I do use the hypnosis cds as well, although not as often as I would like. I have had four colonoscopies and a sigmoidoscopy along with CT scans, nothing exciting found. Doc recently put me on new probiotics to try and curb the extreme D, no real change. When I stopped them, however, I seemed to change to C. Which is working out better for me! I still don't understand the nausea with food, which doc has no answer for.

That's a pitty that you allready eat this way. Did something change the past few years? Did you have benefits by the food and hypnoses or nothing at all? I feel changes if I am stressed out or don't eat the way I should..
