I have recently started practicing yoga and am in love. It has helped me reduce my stress and anxiety greatly and I've lost a few pounds in the deal! But I think the greatest thing I've gotten from it so far is something a yoga instructor said at the end of a class. She asked us to focus on an "I want" way of thinking instead of an "I should" way of thinking. Formerly, every time I bumped into a food I wished I could eat or a glass of wine I knew would hurt me later, I would tell myself, "You really shouldn't do that!" and I would tend to do it anyway. Now I say, "I want to make a healthy choice so that I will feel well." More often than not, it works!

Oh wow, you just put a whole new perspective on things for me. I think that's why I tend to overeat, eat the wrong things, and then pay for it later! Thank you for that insight!
