Beginning Yoga?

I was at Border's last night and there were a bunch of beginning yoga DVDs. I didn't know which to choose!
I want the DVD to use on the days I don't go to the Y, so I don't wanna take a class either. Thanks!

You really do need to take a class to start with as otherwise you can do the poses wrong without realising it (and it's possible to injure yourself that way).
Having said that, I really recommend "Om Yoga In a Box for Beginners". I think it's on Amazon.

I never had Yoga experience before and bought OM Yoga in Box based on messages I read here, but the cd and cards was hard to really see if the poses were being done right....so I bought the dvd that went with OM Yoga.
After a few days, I concluded that the watching a dvd, while trying to relax, then doing stretches where my body did not really wanna stretch, and finally seeing my six year old daughter able to do the poses (her school does Yoga everyday before class), made me realize one needed to attend a class to do it right, assuming your a first timer.
I mean the dvd was great and the material and all was very well packaged, but there was way too much happening for a first timer. I enrolled in a gym and plan on taking the classes they offer for members of the gym.

Hrm. Thanks for the input! I'll have to see if the Y has classes that mesh with my schedule and go from there...
