I'm loving my OM yoga in a box, but I'm actually really naturally flexible (I know, go ahead and hate me ), so I breeze through it and I'm not finding that it's much of a "workout". I'd like to try something more... intense. I was thinking about maybe Power Yoga, but if anyone has any other suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

Also, please don't suggest classes - I'm in the middle of nowhere and there are no classes to be had, so I have to go with whatever I can do in my living room.

Thanks guys!

And if this has been asked already and I missed it somehow, feel free to smack me around a little. LOL!

Yes, you should get this one Casey! I have it and it's challenging!

I knew there was an intermediate one, but I didn't know how intermediate it was. Thanks for the recommend! I'll have to see if I can pick it up as cheaply as I got the beginner one, heh.

I forgot all about kundalini, and that you were doing it... I will look into that one too!

By the way, I got your email, and I know I'm a total tool for not answering it sooner... I will try to get back to you tonight! I've been busy getting ready for a road trip, and on top of that, our internet's been down a lot, so I'm waaaaay behind. Sorry about that!

Hello! have you tried Kundalini Yoga? Where are you located? I could possibly find you a class or teacher. If you are interested I can share links... resources.. etc. (I am a certified instructor).
hope you are having a great day!

Sheesh! Nothing like not checking back for a week!

I'm in NJ right now, visiting my dad and stepmom. I'm having a blast! Part of my reason for coming here was a "buying trip" - I'm acquiring things to resell. That part of the trip has been only so-so, but the weather's been gorgeous and I'm definitely enjoying myself.

Tomorrow I head north to my mom's for a couple days, and then I'll be home!

Hey girl, I'm glad you're having fun! Stay in NJ for another 2 weeks though and then we can meet up in New York.

I have been doing Power Yoga for years because my older sister was an instructor for awhile. The BEST power yoga instructer on DVD in my opinion is Bryan Kest. I LOVE HIM! I have almost all of his DVD's. It can get very challenging, but you can modify EVERY pose to fit you, and then it gives you something to move up to when you are stronger.

Anyways - this is his website. I love him!
Bryan Kest

The 4-set series is great because it builds up. I love his original stuff.

Hi Casey!
Rodney Yee has some excellent tapes as does Bryan Kest. Either of those instructors would give you a great, challenging class!

Hope this is helpful!!
