Cajun Spiced Tofu Burgers

Another one from the Imus Ranch
2 1/4 cups walnuts 1 lb, 3 0z sliken tofu, drained 2 cups fine bread crumbs 2 ribs celery, fine minced 1 carrot, peeled and grated 1 tsp cajun seasoning 3/4 tsp salt 3 tbsp oilve oil
Preheat oven to 350. Spread the walnuts ona sheet and toast in the oven until fragrant, about 10 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside to cool.When the nuts have cooled, transfer then to the conatiner of a food processor and pulse until fine ground. Add the tofu, bread crumbs,celery,carrot and seasoning and salt. Process till well combined. Form the mixture into eight 1/2" thick patties. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat and cook the burgers, turn once cook both sides till golden brown. about 8 minutes.
serves 8

I've never had tofu burgers. How do they compare to turkey burgers??

I can't help you with how they compare to turkey, but I can say that I think tofu burgers are delicious! This recipe looks awesome... I can't wait to try it. (Tofu is also good cut up and made into a barbeque sandwich. Firmer tofu, that is).
