How do you make sourdough bread?

Hello

UK poster here! Would anyone be able to point me in the direction of a easy to bake UK friendly sourdough bread receipe? Want to make sure I get IBS friendly ingrediants ie what type of flour? As you can tell, I'm a virgin bread maker!

Here's your best bet if you haven't made much bread. Get a book called The Bentley Farm Cookbook and follow the instructions. I tried (and failed) for 5-plus years to make good bread. I got this book and followed the instructions for sourdough bread and turned out a PERFECT loaf of bread. I thought it must be a fluke and made another one the next day. Perfect.

The book's out of print but that amazon link above will find you a couple that are available.
