Everyone that is taking Citrucel I'm wondering how long did you take one dose for and how long did you take 2 doses for before you started taking 3 doses. Thanks a lot.

Angel - I'm not quite sure I understand your question, but I started 1 tsp in the am, then 1 tsp in the pm, and gradually (I went really slow, maybe a month to a month and a half or so?) worked up to 2 T in the am, 2 T in the pm. So, I only did 2 doses per day. Is that what you mean?

Actually what I mean is that Citrucel can be taken up to three times per day. Each dose is 1 tbsp. and I know you have to start at a low dose then increase the dose. So I'm taking 1 tbsp. I need to know when I should start taking 2 tbsp. then 3 tbsp.

Why not even try 1/4 tsp. for a week or longer and then increase to 1/2 tsp. and work your way up to maximum dosage very gradually.

I don't know if there is a set time to start increasing (if there is, somebody please let us know!). What I did, like I said, I went really slow. I took 1 tsp. 2x a day for about 1-2 weeks, then 2 tsp. 2x a day for about 1-2 weeks, etc. So, basically I usually went up 1 tsp every 1-2 weeks until I got to 2 T (6 tsp) 2x a day. And that's where I've been ever since.
I may have gone slower than others, but I just wanted to be really careful so my body had time to adjust. Like I said, if there is a set time to increase, I don't know it.

I going to take 1 tbsp. for 31 days then 2tbsp. for 31 days then take 3 tbsp. for the rest of my life I guess.

OK, but just be careful and listen to your body, because if you throw too much at it at once, it may not like it, that's why you have to build up a "tolerance" (for lack of a better description  ). And since you're IBS-C, be sure to drink LOTS of water, because you need that for the fiber to work.

When I first got Citrucel I start taking 3 doses per day. Big Mistake. I do drink lots of water but it's so hard since I have severe bloating, gas, gas pains, gas cramps. And I'm retaining water.
