While I don't have the answer, I can make a suggestion: Heat 'em up! The last batch I made is getting stale -- so I heated one up, just a few seconds in the mike -- and added a tiny bit of canned frosting on top. Ooooh, the icing melted all down the sides -- and the brownie was no longer stale! Kinda almost like hot fudge cake (well, almost).
