BAKING FOR KIDS...

Hi all you Moms out there - On the side of the flour bag was this ad for children's cookbooks called ALPHA-BAKERY and RAINBOW BAKERY.

Each is 72 pages full color childrens' cookbooks. It says that the Betty Crocker Kitchens are trying to help "little chefs" learn how to bake by offering fun, easy-to-follow recipes and activities. For those of you who live where the weather "sucks" (pardon the expression, please!), this would be a good indoor activity.

Here's the pertinent info:

Cost $2.50 each but you need the order form that was on the package of flour: Gold Medal Unbleached Flour (it might be on all the GM flours--I don't know). Offer expires 12/31/05.

Okay, moms, start your engines!!

I have the Alpha-Bakery. My mom bought it for my sister and I a few years ago. There are some good recipes in it but I always forget about it.There is a play dough recipe in it and Paper mache, finger paint.
