I recently bought Tofutti Sour Cream without reading the label as closely as I should have. It does not have trans fat like an older version of this I saw a year or so back, but it does have 85 calories and 5g fat per 2 tablespoons (it tastes really good though). That is heavier than I would like and wanted to ask you cooks out there if this is the kind of thing that I could "cut" or blend with some tofu or something to make it lower calorie/fat per serving? (yes, I know I could just use less, but I like a lot of sour cream in my tacos, so volume is probably more important than taste to me when using as a condiment). Thanks!!

If you get the soft tofu you can blend it in with it and the tofu takes on the taste of the sour cream. A friend of mine does it all the time.

-------------------- IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
