Hi! I'm new here so please bear with me as I figure all of this out. I have really enjoyed reading & rereading many of your post. *on a side note I have been IBSD for 5 1/2 months with no relief - until I found this site. I have now had no D for 15 days!! Yeah!!! I still have pain/gas so I'm hoping to totally remake my diet to fix that.

Does anyone have a list of pantry staples - must haves/must keep on hand? I really need to restock my kitchen and try to make it as IBS friendly as possible. Thanks for any and all replies.

So far I know I need: (Please let me know if I'm not correct)
Soy milk (unsweetened for cooking)
Soy cheeses
Smart Balance Light

Hi, I'm new to this too and have found this site MY LIFESAVER!!! To add to Emmasmoms list,I keep oatmeal, egg whites and egg beaters, pretzels, rice cakes, beets, yams, boxes of angel food cake mixes. I also make alot of the bread recipes that are listed in the book(delicious). Also I drink tons of chamomile tea and I use Heathers fiber. Good luck, and welcome to the group!!

I keep

Unsweetened apple sauce
Canned pumpkin for random pie urges
White rice (I'm a little scared of the brown rice as I don't think I'd cope well wit the extra IF but I have just discovered the joys of sweet sushi rice)
bananas
frozen berries for smoothies
I freeze a lot of fish so I can have some protein for dinner
lemons are surprising useful
soy milk
nut butters
yams
carrots
chick peas for making hummas
rice kripies and cornflakes
oatmeal
not really a staple but I use my bread maker a lot
