Pantry staples??

Hi! I'm new here so please bear with me as I figure all of this out. I have really enjoyed reading & rereading many of your post. *on a side note I have been IBSD for 5 1/2 months with no relief - until I found this site. I have now had no D for 15 days!! Yeah!!! I still have pain/gas so I'm hoping to totally remake my diet to fix that.
Does anyone have a list of pantry staples - must haves/must keep on hand? I really need to restock my kitchen and try to make it as IBS friendly as possible. Thanks for any and all replies.
So far I know I need: (Please let me know if I'm not correct) Soy milk (unsweetened for cooking) Soy cheeses Smart Balance Light

If you get the EFI book it will list all the staples you need or just do a search on here and you should find them. Heres a few rice white or brown (start easy with thte brown) noodles (egg free) Poatoes (can fresh ordeia makes a frozen mash poatoe)hasbrowns(read the ingridents) bread (dairy and hfcs free try italian) or make your own cerals rice chex crisp-x carrots fresh &can zuchunnie pumpkin bannans and apple sauce (if you can do them) frozen peaches are great for smoothies can peaches in there own juice if you can do them. thats just a few off the top of my head hth good luck emmasmom ibs-c gas

Thanks for the reply! I ordered the book Monday so hopefully it will arrive soon.
My book came today!! I ordered the Eating for IBS book and the First Year book. Now I know what I will be doing all holiday ~ reading.

Hi, I'm new to this too and have found this site MY LIFESAVER!!! To add to Emmasmoms list,I keep oatmeal, egg whites and egg beaters, pretzels,rice cakes,beets, yams,boxes of angel food cake mixes. I also make alot of the bread recipes that are listed in the book(delicious). Also I drink tons of chamomile tea and I use Heathers fiber. Good luck, and welcome to the group!!

I keep
Unsweetened apple sauce Canned pumpkin for random pie urges White rice (I'm a little scared of the brown rice as I don't think I'd cope well wit the extra IF but I have just discovered the joys of sweet sushi rice) bananas frozen berries for smoothies I freeze a lot of fish so I can have some protein for dinner lemons are surprising useful soy milk nut butters yams carrots chick peas for making hummas rice kripies and cornflakes oatmeal not really a staple but I use my bread maker a lot

chex corn/rice cereal honeycomb cereal pretzels frozen fruits for smoothies soy milk Imitation (dairy free) sour cream Imitation (dairy free) cream cheese Smart Balance Light spread Pam- fat free graham crackers apples egg whites unbleached flour sugar canola oil sweet potatoes/yams carrots unsweetened applesauce Quaker Oats No Yolk noodles Tostitos canned tomatoes- organic salsa fresh french breads(I freeze a bunch) turkey boneless skinless chicken breasts Veggie Shreds brand shredded cheese canned pumpkin (not pie filling) unsweetened baking cocoa white rice organic chicken broth organic fat free cream of mushroom/chicken corn meal flour tortillas fat free saltine crackers Bisquick Heart Healthy mix Heather's Fennel & Peppermint Teas Heather's Peppermint Caps Acacia Fiber powder
