Hummus is too spicy, help!

I just bought some red pepper hummus that I thought would be really good, but it's too spicy. I can't eat more than a couple of pita chips or veggies dipped in it before my mouth starts burning. Is there anything I can add to it to cool it off some? I was thinking soy sour cream, but I'm not sure how that would taste.

Well hummus is chickpeas (garbanzo beans). You could 'dilute' it with more chickpeas blended in a food processor or blender along with some salt. I made some 2 weeks ago that was way too garlicky! So I added more chickpeas, tahini, salt and lemon to even it out.

Well, duh, why didn't I think of that!  I even have chick peas on hand. Thanks for the idea! I promise, I'm a somewhat intelligent person, even though it may not seem that way! LOL!
