I have an awsome recipe for apple crisp!! I used golden delicious apples, and it made it SUPER sweet (yum!) and the apple pieces were really soft (which I like). I have also used honeycrisp apples, and the apples were slightly firmer but it was still amazing. The original recipe called for 1/4 c. of oil for the topping, but I decrease it to 1 Tbl. The texture of the topping is very different when you use less oil, but the yummy taste is still there. You can add more oil if you like the topping to be more strussel-like. Perfect recipe for all those extra apples! Also, it is super easy!

****YUMMY APPLE CRISP****

In a bowl mix:
3 c. apples, cut into small pieces
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbl. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4-1/2 tsp. cinnamon (depending how much you like)

Put apple mixture into an 8 x 8 inch baking dish. In a bowl, stir/crumb together:
1/2 c. brown sugar (I use dark)
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. quick oats
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbl. oil

Spread topping mixture over apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or so.

I made this last night so that I had something sweet to eat besides my husband's non-safe b-day cake. It was really good and super easy. Thanks for a great recipe!

This is truly amazing and very quick and easy! I used 3 tbsp oil which is still less than originally called for and tolerated it fine.
