Chocolate-walnut scones :> Sounds yummy.

Do let me know if you find something worth mentioning in yor book! Thanks a lot!

I might like the cookbook, yes, and thanks for noting that, but the thing is I am notorious with the fact I do not read cookbooks. I have several (given to me by mom, aunt, etc) and I NEVER read them... they don't seem to have a satisfying search function. Initially, I used to at least try to find what I need, but since I didn't really know how it's called, just what it contains, well... I am SOOO spoiled by google. When I am looking for a recipe, I just put in a search, put in the ethnic cuisine I want (usually my homelands, LOL) and the ingredients, and search. Seems to work very well... I have a growing folder of recipes on my computer, and yours is already there Another thing is that most cookbooks contain totally weird recipes I would never try (well... I am not American and don't like the combination of squash and salty stuff, or sweet entrees (ones with sugar ) in addition to the IBS restrictions...) I just usually stick to our ethnic cuisine, since my husband is from the same country and eats what I cook with a higher probability if it is not weird

Scones are something we always wanted to make, though. And since yoghurt was out, we had no clue as to what to do (I am going to convert my mom's old recipes using that conversion... if they turn out right, I'll post, LOL)

Thanks again! Mmmm... I hope this makes it to the index. There are some scones recipes there, but most use tofu or buttermilk and I try to stay away from soy in general (whenever I can...). This recipe is so easy and adaptable!

The chocolate-walnut variety was good but I think more sugar is a good idea if adding cocoa powder. Anyway, it is a tasty variation on the recipe. Thanks again for all the kind words about the recipe. I am so very, very happy that you like it.
