Hi! I recently bought some white miso. I saw a couple of posts about miso, but was wondering if it is IBS safe. Also...does anyone know where i can find miso recipes? Thanks!

Miso is definitely safe... and so good for you, too.
I would do a Google search for recipes, personally - when making any recipes, keep the IBS diet guidelines in mind and substitute ingredients accordingly. Honestly, though, most non-fried Japanese recipes I've found are usually safe as-is, or with just a little alteration to the oil/fat amounts.

It's a Japanese soup that is clearish-white looking, sometimes with tofu, onion, green veggies in it.
Here's a pic: Miso soup That's pretty much exactly what the miso soup I had at a sushi restaurant looked like.

I posted a recipe for a cheese topping for pizza that uses miso and tofu a few weeks back. I should still be on there. Debbie IBS-A

Miso is a fermented soybean paste that comes in different varieties. It is in the refrigerated section of natural foods in a canister like yogurt. It is thick, salty and sometimes sweet and is a flavoring used in Japanese cooking and especially in miso soup. The flavors can be interchanged somewhat since usually stores have maybe white and red or whatever but not all the varieties. Miso is healthy and IBS safe.

"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

I appologize--I rarely cook with recipes, however I find that steaming the tempeh prior to applying it to a recipe really helps soften it.
