Sigh. It contains MSG. This probably means I'd skip these gravy mixes (sob) but some IBSers can tolerate it.
Speaking of MSG, I thought this Web page was interesting because it says MSG occurs naturally in mushrooms, tomatoes, and carrageenan none of which have ever bothered me.

I'm not sure what this all means. I know some of the "chemical" sounding forms of MSG are very hard on me but apparently some of the more "natural" ones aren't. I wonder if it has to do with how concentrated the MSG is.

OH THAT SUCKS!!! I did not realize that was MSG.... I think it must be a small enough amount... I only eat 1/4 of the package that it does not bother ME.... but it could others.... I do have a hard time with high amounts of MSG...

Hi, A safe gravy mix is in the same kind of package as the Hain one but it is by "Road's End Organics". They make a few different flavours but the one I ususally use is the Savory Herb. It contains no MSG or fat, no dairy, wheat or gluten. I get them at the Health food Store. Debbie IBS-A
