Soy Cream Cheese - tofutti

Has anyone found that when making cream cheese icing with the soy Tofutti cream cheese that the icing is not very thick? Debbie, Ontario Canada

Yes the product is a poor replacement for regular cream cheese. It also is high in fat and adds too much fat to a cake or whatever. I haven't made soy cream cheese frosting since the first time. I tend to make a really moist cake and leave a portion unfrosted for me or make a cake that doesn't need frosting like angelfood or spice/bundt. There are some other safe frosting recipes in the index.

Yes, I found out the hard way that the icing was not worth making with the Tofutti - it was for my husand as I calculated it had too much fat for me. CAn you share your recipe for spice bundt cake? Thanks, Debbie IBS - C
